A protege of the legendary Arthur Nwankwo of Ajalli, Dr. Eze hails from Izzi, Ebonyi State, and contested for the House of Representatives in 2023 on the Labour Party platform, only to be reportedly rigged out. Recently, two touts reportedly linked to the Ebonyi State Government, both of Izzi extraction, threatened Dr. Eze after he mildly criticized certain government actions and inactions. Following the threat, Dr. Eze petitioned the Force Headquarters in Abuja, leading to the arrest of the two touts five days ago.
However, controversy escalated when Chinedu Ogah, from a different zone, intervened and secured bail for the touts within minutes. Observers note that Ogah may be attempting to use Dr. Eze to advance personal political ambitions, including a possible third-term bid outside APC in 2027. Analysts argue that Dr. Eze’s success in business contrasts sharply with Ogah’s political beginnings in “touting,” with most of Ogah’s resources reportedly derived from public patrimony.
Political commentators warn that Chinedu Ogah should maintain distance from Dr. Eze, emphasizing that “darkness has no correlation with light”, highlighting the contrast between Dr. Eze’s integrity and Ogah’s controversial actions.

The tout Chinedu Ogah has been trying to use Dr Emmanuel Eze to score cheap points, thinking Gov. Nwifuru could support his third term bid as he contests outside APC in 2027. Truth is that Dr Emmanuel Eze is light, while Tout Chinedu Ogah is darkness. He should steer clear of Dr Emmanuel Eze. He’s not his equal. While Dr Eze has never been in government, but has built a business empire outside Ebonyi State, Chinedu Ogah started life with politics of touting. All Ogah has today came through public patrimony. He’s not to talk where people like Dr Emmanuel Eze are talking. He has no value. On a lighter mode, he belong to the gut-ter.
If not for the kind of policing system in Nigeria, Chinedu Ogah should be kept in prison for 50 years over his atrocious actions and inactions. For the repeated time, he should steer clear of Dr Emmanuel Eze! Darkness has no correlation with light.”
