In the South East of Nigeria today, of course known for their business acumen in Africa, there are a lot of internationally acclaimed business men and women whose wealth are known to come from their business empires.

In this episode, we’re going to list 20 topmost business moguls alive in the South East of Nigeria known as Igbo people. These ones are just the topmost of the thousands of them.

1. Chief Arthur Eze:
Engr Arthur Eze is one of the richest Nigerians alive who majors in oil and gas. He operates within and outside Nigeria with his company called Atlas Oranto Oil. He’s from Ukpo, Dunukofia LGA of Anambra State. He’s a known philanthropist.

2. Chief Engr Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu: He’s a very rich Igbo man whose history of wealth dates 50 years now. He’s from Imo State. He’s the founder of Iwuanyanwu Nationale Football Club. He’s a contractor and multifaceted businessman who is in his early eighties.

3. Chief Emeka Offor:
He’s from Oraifite in Anambra State. He’s a multimillion dollars businessman and contractor. In his early 60s, he owns the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company and other chains of businesses scattered across the globe.

4. Chief Dr Tony Ezenna:
From Akokwa, Imo State, Ezenna is the founder of Orange Drugs which majors in production and distribution of pharmaceutical products and estate. He’s one of the richest men in the South East alive.

5. Dr Mrs Stella Okoli:
This is the richest woman in the South East of Nigeria. She’s the owner of the Emzor Pharmaceuticals which majors in production and distribution of pharmaceutical products and health care. He’s said to be the third richest Nigerian woman alive. She’s from Anambra State.

6. Chief Cletus Ibeto:
This is one of the most known business men in Africa. From Nnewi, Anambra State, Ibeto owns the popular Ibeto Cement and oil. He’s a philanthropist.

7. Chief Sir Emma Bishop Okonkwo:

The Chairman of Ekulo Group of Companies, with hundreds of people under his employ.
A self-made man, Odenigbo Amichi (one of his numerous titles) could be likened to the proverbial King Midas; anything he touches automatically turns to gold.

Incorporating his company, Ekulo International Limited, with head office then on 30, Isale Agbede Street, Lagos, on July 3, 1984, the business has today metamorphosed into an oak tree. Initially into trading, they have since diversified into manufacturing and et al.
Now a group of companies, with Ekulo International Limited, Prize Destructioners Nigeria Limited, Ekulo Industries Limited, Evans Industries Limited and Ekulo Pharmaceuticals Limited as subsidiaries, the man is worth billions.

The franchise owners/manufacturers of popular brands like Eva Wine, Goya Oil, Adonko Bitters, Mayonnaise, Sardine, Eva Soap, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Baron de Valls Wine, Don Simon Drink, Meditol Soap, to mention but a few, their headquarters have since shifted to highbrow Victoria Island. With factories and branches scattered here and there.
Decorated as an Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic by ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in 2011, he started out in Onitsha, Anambra State, before berthing years later in Lagos, Nigeria’s then capital, where fame and fortune located him almost immediately.
He was born on December 31, 1960.

8. Dr Paschal Dozie:
From Imo State, Dozie was the CEO of MTN Nigeria. He’s one of the leading business owners in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. The octogenarian is a known mogul in business.

9. Chief Dr ABC Ojiako:
From Uli, Ihiala LGA of Anambra State, he’s the owner of Seplat Oil and Gas. He’s a leading oil moguls in Nigeria still alive. He’s multifaceted business man of international repute.

10. Chief Ernest Obiejesi:
An oil mogul from Okija, Anambra State, Obiejesi is the owner of Obijackson Oil and Gas Ltd. He’s an influential business man whose interest in the development of his community remains unrivalled.

11. Dr Stanley Eke:
The CEO of Zinox Ltd is a foremost digital technology mogul in Nigeria. His brands in the Tech industry are innumerable. A contractor with the INEC Nigeria, Eke is a silent multi millionaire in Euro whose wealth is known to be from his technological companies situated both in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. He’s from Imo State.

12. Professor Barth Nnaji is the CEO of Geometric Power Plant situated in Aba, Abia State and across the breath and length of Nigeria and outside Nigeria. He’s power guru who was Minister of Power in Nigeria under the presidency of Goodluck Jonathan. He’s from Nkanu, Enugu State.
