RPSC AE Exam Pattern 2024

The RPSC AE Exam 2024 consists of two stages: Prelims and Mains. The Prelims stage is qualifying in nature, and only those who pass it will advance to the Mains.

Prelims Exam Pattern

  • General Knowledge & General Science (including General Knowledge of Rajasthan, Geography, Economy, Culture): 200 Marks, 2 Hours
  • Optional Papers (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Agricultural Engineering): 200 Marks, 2 Hours

Mains Exam Pattern

  • Paper I: Hindi – 100 Marks, 3 Hours
  • Paper II: Social Aspects of Engineering – 200 Marks, 3 Hours
  • Paper III: Optional Papers (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Agricultural Engineering) – 200 Marks, 3 Hours
  • Paper IV: Optional Papers (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Agricultural Engineering) – 200 Marks, 3 Hours

General Knowledge & General Science

Current Affairs

  • Current events of State, National, and International importance.
  • National and International agencies and their activities.
  • Games and sports at State, National, and International levels.

History & Culture

  • Landmarks in the political and cultural history of India.
  • Major monuments and literary works.
  • Renaissance, freedom struggle, and national integration.
  • Medieval history and socio-economic life.
  • Freedom movement and political awakening.
  • Political integration and regional dialects.
  • Literature, music, dance, and theatre.
  • Religious beliefs, saints, poets, warrior-saints, and folk deities.
  • Handicrafts, fairs, festivals, customs, dresses, and ornaments, with special reference to folk and tribal aspects.
