List of the people who should leave Abakaliki and relocate to Abuja. They should stop disturbing the government of Nwifuru and focus on national politics wherein they are best fitted:
1. Sen. Obinna Ogba: Former senator for eight years and member of different boards of federal government. He should stop nosing around Government House in Abakaliki. His mates are in Abuja. He’s connected. He should be in the FCT doing one or two.
2. Amb. Frank Ogbuewu: former Minister and Nigerian ambassador to Greece. His living in Abakaliki, disturbing the government of today is unfair. He’s 70 years old. It’s either he relocates to Abuja or his village in Ikwo. His mates are contesting for president of Nigeria. In fact, at 70, your kinsmen need you. Retire to village if you are proud of where you call home.
3. Hon. Christopher Omo-isu: He should go back to Abuja as a former National Assembly member and speaker of Ebonyi House of Assembly. He has grown past chairing children’s boards in Abakaliki. Your kinsmen need you at home. Governor should be consulting you at home.
4. Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim: The chairman of those who should leave Abakaliki immediately for Abuja! Former Senate President, Secretary to Federal Government and PDP presidential ticket aspirant. Stop looking for contracts in Abakaliki. You’ve grown past this. There’s nothing you can make from the struggling Government of Ebonyi State that you didn’t make as SGF under Goodluck Jonathan wherein you were a cabal leader. At this age of your public influence, you should not be talking about defecting to political party and stuff like that.
5. Chief Martin Elechi: Your Excellency, Sir, with due respect, you’re supposed to be in your house in Ikwo as an 83 year old statesman. If the governor wants you, he should come to Ikwo and consult you for whatever purpose. At your age and level beginning from the East Central State down to the old Anambra State and subsequently Enugu, and now Ebonyi State where you’ve been a governor for eight years, you are supposed to be in the village playing host to some of us the young ones and government of the state. Your son, Nnanna is a commissioner currently. You being available everyday at government functions is belittling of the respect we have for you. At this age, you should be apolitical. Longer may you live, sir!
6. Sen. Sonni Ogbuoji: Sir, relocate to Abuja immediately! That’s where you belong. You are blocking the access of young ones to government of the state of Ebonyi. You’re approaching 70 and it’s instructive that you play fatherly roles and not heading children’s committees all the time.
7. Chief Edward Okereke Nkwegu: EDON, go back to Abuja and face your hotel, Barcelona Hotel at Blantyre Street which used to be the sixth best hotel in the entire Abuja. You are a billionaire. It’s unwise for you to be perching around the governor. There’s nothing you can get from him that you never got in a thousand fold during Egwu & Elechi as governors. You can’t be a governor in Ebonyi again owing to the fact that the current governor is from your LGA. You can’t be a senator due to this. You’ve grown past House of Reps, and apart from that, your coming from same place as the governor has blocked you in many ways. Go back and face your businesses. You’re like Dangote. Government made you.
8. Chief Innocent Ugo-Chima: Sir, you are almost 80 years of age. You’re also rich. You have houses in Lagos and Abuja. Sir, retire to your Ezza South home let governor be consulting you at home. Stop attending all events in Government House. You are blocking the young ones.
9. Chief Barr Okeagu Ogada: Sir, you’re supposed to be permanent in Ikwo now. As an OHANEZE Ndigbo figure, you should have outgrown the politics of praise singing and communique signing. You’re almost 80 years and have held positions of interest in the state and during the old Anambra State. You have a quality home in Ikwo; relocate there. Your children are big. You have a Rev. Fr as son doing well. Your sons-in-law outside Ebonyi are doing well. You can survive without what comes from the Government House. Stop blocking the young ones. We respect you.
10. High Chief Hyacinth Ikpo: You’re 80 already, sir. You’re one of the founding fathers of Ebonyi. You played good roles in founding the state. You should relocate permanently to Afikpo. It’s unfair to have you around Government House in Abakaliki regularly. Your kinsmen need you in Afikpo permanently. Governor should be visiting you at home, not you visiting him. We love you!

When you are always available at Government House, it reduces the glory you should bear as elder statesmen. If governor is holding a meeting of Ebonyi stakeholders in Abuja, do you think it’s wise to join him to Abuja from Abakaliki? Come on, it’s wrong! You should be on ground in Abuja as he arrives as your son. This is why David Umahi is different. Outside being a serving minister, you’d not be seeing him around Government House as often as you people come. Respect yourselves so you be respected optimally.
Our villages are taken over by the touts at home because you all decided to be city boys at very old age. Your presence in the village will make government to pay attention to rural areas.
Mind you that winning or being able to rig elections today isn’t dependent on your supports. A serious contestant will win without your supports. That’s the time we’re in currently. This is not 2003. Be at home so we meet you and give you the respect deserving of you all on the ground of age, not that you brought development into your communities. I’m saying this because, if I get to your ages and status, I won’t be living in Abakaliki nor be visiting Government House at all times.
