Nwoba Chika Nwoba clears up details about the village leadership issue in Ikwo involving Dr. Ngozi Nwode and Edwin Akam.
iyierioba.com gathered the information from Nwoba Chika Nwoba’s Facebook page.
Nwoba Chika Nwoba has addressed feedback on his recent post about a leadership issue in an Ikwo village involving Dr. Ngozi Nwode, the mother of the Governor’s wife. The post talked about Edwin Akam, the current village chairman, who is trying to get a second term in office.
Nwoba received mixed responses. Some people agreed with his views, while others said that Akam’s bid for a second term is the real issue. According to them, no previous village chairman has tried to get a second term, and many local youths support Akam because of his good work during his first term.
Nwoba wants to correct a point from his earlier post. He had said that Akam’s term was still ongoing. Now, Nwoba clarifies that while Akam’s term is still running, the main issue is his attempt to get a second term, which is unusual in the village.
Nwoba emphasizes that no one should be intimidated by state authority. He stresses that this situation could affect anyone and highlights the importance of treating everyone with respect, especially women. He was careful not to use harsh language against Dr. Ngozi Nwode.
Nwoba calls for both sides to work together to keep things orderly and respect each other’s rights. He hopes this correction provides a clearer picture of the situation.

Since the yesterday I made a post on power tussle in a village in Ikwo involving mother of the wife of the governor of Ebonyi State, Dr Ngozi Nwode, I have been receiving phone calls from different sources with some saying that what I wrote was correct hundred percent, and others countering that the young man, Edwin Akam who is the chairman of the village being battled to go out is refusing to withdraw from contesting for second tenure when nobody has ever attempted second tenure even as the youths are supporting his coming back as he did well in his first outing.
In that post, I raised many points, but the only one being countered was where I said that his tenure was still running. To this effect, I want to withdraw the part that I said that he was still in active service. The issue in contention now is that he’s attempting a second term whereas nobody has ever done that in the leadership of the village.
My concern is that nobody should be intimidated using instrument of state authority. It can be anyone tomorrow. In that post, I was very careful not to use elf words on the mother of the wife of the governor as I don’t engage women fiercely the way I do when it’s involving men. Let there be due process and respect for one another’s rights. The both parties should work towards maintaining law and order. So, this is the area I want to correct myself.

Do you agree with me that what you did to Dr. Mrs. Nwode is capable putting her,her Family and her Offsprings into Humiliation and Attack on their Personalities?
If you’re a Patriotic Citizen as you do claim, kindly make a Public Apologies to them and not to come here and say that you have withdrawn the Part or Paragraph of your write up.
Don’t prank us here.

Until we hear from the both parties, do not rush into conclusions.
Some of you are already casting aspersions on the woman. Desist from that until you hear from another source.
