If you want to know how highly corrupt state civil service is, apply to be transferred to a choice secondary school as a principal. Here, merit isn’t key. Contact and bribe money are key. Postings and conversions are paid for. This is the level we’ve found ourselves in. If you dare attempt to be a little bit different, they’ll transfer you to a rural community you’ll find it hard to make phone calls, or send you to an agency you’ll be sleeping in office or frame you up.
