Subject Offerings in NECO GCE SSCE External for 2024

The NECO GCE SSCE External for 2024 offers candidates a wide selection of twenty-nine subjects. These subjects cover various academic areas, allowing candidates to choose according to their interests and academic goals. The subjects available include:

Guidelines for NECO GCE Form Application

Application Fee Structure

Candidates need to be aware of the following costs associated with the NECO GCE registration:

  • Main Registration Fee: ₦22,250.00
  • Four-Figure Table: ₦500.00 per copy
  • Additional charges for stamp duty, service, and Remita may also apply.

Payment Methods

To register, candidates or their representatives (like cyber cafes) must visit NECO’s official website to create and activate an account. Payments can be made through the following options:

  • ATM Card
  • Internet Banking
  • USSD
  • Wallet
  • Bank Branch

Note: NECO no longer uses scratch cards for transactions.

Registration Timeline

Registration for the NECO GCE SSCE External exam runs from 3rd July 2024 to 6th November 2024. Late registration will incur an additional fee of ₦2,000.00. A walk-in registration option is available at a cost of ₦28,000.00 per candidate.

How to Register

Mode of Registration: Candidates have the option to register either offline or online.

Online Registration Steps:

  1. Visit NECO’s official website via the SSCE External Link.
  2. Create an account and purchase the registration quota.
  3. Proceed to a reliable cybercafé to complete the registration process and capture biometric data.

Registration Deadline: Candidates should ensure they complete their registration within the timeframe specified on the Council’s website.

Requirements for Registration

Photograph:

  • A passport-sized photograph is required.
  • The photograph must be recent (not more than six months old) and should have a white background.
  • If necessary, a system camera can be used to capture the photograph during the registration process.

Important Notes on Biometric Data

  • Offline Registration: Biometric fingerprints will be captured during the registration process.
  • Examination Verification: During the examination, biometric verification will be conducted. If a candidate’s fingerprints do not match those recorded during registration, they will be considered an impersonator and face penalties according to the law.
