Governor Francis Ogonna Nwifuru spoke about the importance of Izhi cultural values and encouraged people to live by these values at the 2024 Ojiji Izhi festival.

At the 2024 Grand Finale of Ojiji Izhi, our new yam festival, Governor Francis Ogonna Nwifuru talked about the importance of Izhi culture. He said these cultural values help create a good society by making people loving, disciplined, and productive.

During the festival, the Governor reminded everyone, especially young people, to avoid trouble and live by the positive values of our culture and tradition.

The Governor’s message was clear: following our cultural values helps build a better community.

The values inherent in our culture as a people, are the shapers of our society. The Izhi culture is rich in beautiful values. It enhances the quality of our lives and in turn, provides us the needed ambience to form a good society – loving, disciplined and productive.

Yesterday, we celebrated the grand finale of Ojiji Izhi, our new yam festival. I employed the avenue to remind our people, especially the youths, the need to eschew all forms of troubles and focus on leading exemplary lives guided by those values rooted in our culture and tradition.
