FUTO Post-UTME Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) Post-UTME/Direct Entry (DE), candidates must:
- Choose FUTO as their first choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE).
- Score a minimum of 150 in the UTME. Candidates who did not initially choose FUTO but scored at least 150 can apply by changing their first choice institution to FUTO on the JAMB CAPS.

Direct Entry candidates must possess:
- OND/HND/First Degree and A’Level in relevant subjects.
How the Screening Will Be Conducted
The screening for FUTO Post-UTME/Direct Entry will be based on:
- Verified JAMB scores.
- WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB results uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

- Ensure that your details on JAMB CAPS match those on the Post-UTME application portal.
- Provide a valid mobile number and email address for updates.
- Upload your O’Level results on JAMB CAPS by 31 August 2024.
- Only candidates who submit their applications online will be considered.
Direct Entry Requirements
- Direct Entry candidates must ensure their academic transcripts reach the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, by 31 August 2024.
- Failure to submit transcripts by this deadline will result in disqualification.
How to apply for FUTO Post-UTME & Direct Entry Sreening Form 2024: Application Steps.
- Access the FUTO Website:
- Visit the FUTO website, select “Prospective Students,” then “Undergraduate.”
- Alternatively, use the direct link to access the FUTO Post-UTME/DE application portal.
- Generate Your Invoice:
- Click on “Generate Invoice.”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number to create a Payment Invoice with the Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR).
- Make the Payment:
- Pay the processing fee of N2,000.00 at any bank or using an ATM card.
- Complete Your Application Form:
- Return to the FUTO Post-UTME/DE Application portal.
- Click on “Application Form.”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and log in.
- Complete the application form accurately.
- Confirm and submit your application.
- Print Your Acknowledgment Slip:
- Print the acknowledgment slip for your records.
- Wait for Further Instructions:
- Keep an eye out for further communication and instructions from the University.
