Yesterday 12th August 2023, PDP Caretaker Committee Members in a bid to leave no stone unturned visited a staunch member of our party ( PDP) Hon. John Williams Nwode at his Abakaliki residence to familiarize with him.
Hon. Nwode, appreciated his August visitors, as he went down to memory lane, reiterated that he has no other political party to claim a membership of except PDP to which he has been a member right from the formative stage to this very hour.
He equally affirmed that he would always support and throw weight behind PDP at all times. He described the committee members entrusted with the affairs of the party as capable hands carefully selected to cure the party from betrayals and massive loots that besieged the party in time past. He said that many would still run back to lick their vomits in a matter of months.
The PDP restoration team from there moved to the residence of the immediate past Ebonyi State House of Assembly member, Hon.Mrs Franca Okpo at Nkaliki area of Abakaliki to rekindle the hope of light at the end of the tunnel they have been going around evangelizing to the PDP true party men and women.
The party committee members commended the former honourable member immensely for not allowing both seen and unseen circumstances to stop her from recording top notch performance she portrayed while in office even when most of her rights were brazenly deprived her by the past administration in the course of affirming her membership with the PDP.
The team extolled her for managing the little resources she was left with judiciously and effected a robust and uncommon changes to the lives of her constituents before relinquishing the office to another.
Hon.Mrs. Okpo expressed an unreserved gratitude for the courtesy visit and affirmed that they shouldn’t relent in the crusade of making the party more strong and better as she was optimistic of what God could do in the life of the party in no time. She enjoined everyone to be prayerful to God as he’s the author and finisher of the party’s fate.
