This development was occasioned by the emergency coronation of the man as the traditional ruler of a newly created autonomous community, Oferekpe Agbaja of Izzi local government area of Ebonyi state. The governor wanting to have his father traditional ruler turned his village, Oferekpe into an autonomous community through the state’s House of Assembly. Mr Nwifuru now Eze Nwifuru Ezekiel, Chibugo 1 of Oferekpe Agbaja of Izzi local government area analysts have said may become the chairman of the Ebonyi state traditional rulers council since his son is the governor of the state.
When the news broke on social media, many have been imagining how possible he was able to manage 19 wives and 108 children in one compound, whereas a cross section of the commenters extolled him for the boldness to engage in supersonic polygamy, likening him to a core Igbo man with the might of the strong men of the old days. Eze Ezekiel Nwifuru was a farmer who was able to raise his multitude of children and wives, with one of them becoming governor. Hon. Francis Nwifuru has by this development become a prince, as many decisively ascribed.
