An Ebonyi man, Andrew Nwoba has been appointed Clerk of the Nigerian Senate by the National Assembly Service Commission in Abuja. This is coming after the former occupant of the seat, Chinedu Akabueze clocked sixty years old, marking his compulsory retirement from the service and subsequently being appointed as Chief of Staff to the Senate President, Barr Godswill Akpabio.
Andrew Nwoba, a native of Ishieke, Ebonyi local government of Ebonyi State is taking over after getting to the rank of permanent secretary and is expected to oversee the clerical unit and needs of the Senate which is the higher chamber of the bicameral Nigeria National Assembly. National Assembly Service Commission is an agency responsible for the running of the National Assembly.
